Vietnam is home of lots of beautiful islands. Some are really well-know like Phu Quoc, Con Dao Island but others are still hidden gems and need to discover. For nature lovers, you should visit the below list of islands at least once when you come to Vietnam.
1. Phu Quoc Island
Among the most beautiful islands in Vietnam is Phu Quoc. The island offers fresh air, cool breeze and spacious, peaceful atmosphere making it a perfect escape from the hustles of daily life. By far the best time of year to visit this island is the dry season, between December and April. During this period, the sea is as calm as infinity pool. The skies are blue, the sun is warm, but mornings and evenings are fresh and cool.
How to get there?
Phu Quoc ‘s new airport receives dozens of domestic and international flight everyday. Within Vietnam, there are many direct flights to the island from Ho Chi Minh and ha Noi. Thanks to the convenience of airplane, it is extremely easy to visit this island

2. Nam Du Island
Nam Du is an extremely “hot” destination in the summer thanks to clear blue water, shady coconut trees on the sandy shores. It located around 40 kilometers away from Phu Quoc Island. The Island stretches over two communes of An Son and Nam Du with the population of 10,000 people. As it covered with high mountains, Nam Du also is suggested as a great spot for offshore fishermen to avoid the rough storms. In order to explore the surrounding islands like Hon Lon and visit some beautiful places, you can rent a private boat or join in a group. You can also rent a motorbike from your motel to ride the coast at sunset.

3. Binh Ba Island
In 3 recent years, when it comes to domestic tourism, Binh Ba Island has been a very hot name, not only the landscape but also the culinary richness which has captivated the hearts of almost travelers. There are many beaches in Binh Ba but the majority of locals and tourists prefer to swim at Nom Beach because the sea is very clean.
Not only the blue sea and white sand, Binh Ba also attracts by very distinctive cuisine. When staying here, you should visit Binh Ba market in the morning where you can try the the noodles, can cake, pancakes and fresh seafood. All dishes are so incredible at an affordable price.

4. Con Dao Island
Con Dao islands also knowns as Con Dao National Park. The main island, Con Son was once the site of French-run prisons for Vietnamese involved in the independence movement. At here, you can visit the prison cells and infamous tiger cages.
Island-hopping and diving are popular activities on Con Dao Island, where you can explore various wildlife in the ocean. Aside part of Con Son, the island has plenty of pristine beaches where you can enjoy a day of sunbathing, swimming and dinning on fresh seafood.
Con Dao Airport is 15 kilometers south of Con Son Town and you can access Con Dao islands within an hour’s flight from Ho Chi Minh City .

5. Ly Son Island
Ly Son is the one and only island in Quang Ngai Province. But did you know that about 25 to 30 million years ago, it was a volcano. With the topography and landscape here, some tourists called Ly Son island is the “Jeju island” of Vietnam. It is not only famous for different kinds of garlic but it also attracts many young travelers looking to explore the surreal blue sea.
June to September is the perfect time to visit Ly son island because the weather is nice and sunny. In September, Ly Son garlic is planted and harvested around early December, so if you want to discover and try this special spice, you have to come at the right time. To move to Ly Son Island, you can use plan, coach or train.
